Aguilar pickups sound amazing.

You're in luck! We will be also be building the AG 5P-CL.
5P CL pickups are designed to fit the standard 4P size covers (2.25” X 1.1”).
Similar to our AG 5P-60 set, both covers will be the same size; neck pickup will have three pairs of exposed pole pieces, while the bridge cover will have 2 pairs of exposed pole pieces.
Any plans for making a J5 set in J4 bridge cover?

So, if some one has a Fender or Squier P5 (B, E, A strings on one "half" and D and G strings on the other which are basically 2 different lengths) would Aguilar be willing to swap halves to make a set that fits?

Please Aguilar can you build a drop-in replacement pickup for my Fender P5?

C'mon Dave, give us a break! My Jazz sounds great with the 4J-70's I put in it, and my P bass is up for a 4P-60. Please think about making a pickup for us Fender P5 guys!

these can be wired passive correct, they do not require any pre?

I believe all of Aggie's pickups are traditional, passive pups.

True, but it's worth noting that their Stingray pickups (AG 4M and AG 5M) are wired in parallel with a relatively low number of winds just like the original Music Man pickups. This makes them relatively low output so they benefit from from a preamp that can add gain.

I had Nino install a set of 5J-70's in my Valenti bass yesterday; transforming it from a PJ to a true Jazz bass. WOW!!! These pickups are truly amazing. The Nordstrands I had in there were good quality pickups but way too polite for me. These Aguilars have a true jazz bass sound that we all know and love.
FWIW: these are the newer size Aguilar offers. They are almost the same length as 4 string pickups. Now there's no reason for anyone with a 5 string J not to try them. Very satisfied!
