Aguilar pickups sound amazing.

Absolutely, they sound amazing.
I have a AG 4p-60 and it is my favorite precision pickup.
I have tried the AG 4j-60 and liked it very much, unfortunately i do not own a jazz bass anymore, otherwise i would drop a set in for sure.

They all sound pretty amazing, but the Valenti PJ tone (at around 7.25) just kills. No idea why this video isn't on their own channel yet!

I agree they all sounded great but it's funny you point out the 50-50 PJ tone. Definitely my least favorite (still good though)! I don't know why but I always appreciate good examples of the "different strokes" effect like this...

I agree, my favorite tone is the Valenti PJ set 50/50. Ridiculously amazing.
I didn't know Aguilar made such a set. I don't see them on their website. Do you have a link to more info on these? I have a Valenti PJ5 with Nordstrand PJ pickups and an Aggie OBP-2 which sounds great but wonder how the sound would differ with an Aguilar PJ set.

In the OP's post, after 7:20 or so, if I'm not mistaken. It's both pickups at equal volume. Gorgeous tone to my ears!

The Nord PJ5 set and Aggie PJ5 are not the same size.

From the man himself! I wanted to replace the Nordstrand pickups in my Valenti PJ 5 but Nino told me that they are different sizes. I guess one could hide anything under a pickguard but the bridge pickup route is different so unless you want to scar up your bass.....

I contacted Aguilar to see if they would make a custom sized pickup. They said no.

I've been tempted by their P pickup, but their 5 string P is unfortunately an usual size. They won't fit into either Fender P5s or P 5ers that use a normal 4 string P pickup footprint.
You're in luck! We will be also be building the AG 5P-CL.
5P CL pickups are designed to fit the standard 4P size covers (2.25” X 1.1”).
Similar to our AG 5P-60 set, both covers will be the same size; neck pickup will have three pairs of exposed pole pieces, while the bridge cover will have 2 pairs of exposed pole pieces.

Awesome! I love the sound clips I've heard of AG 5P loaded basses.
