Aguilar replacement DB210 speakers

Hi all, has anyone replaced their Aguilar 10's with a different brand? I popped my Db210 speakers and as it turns out they are Eminence propriety and can only be bought new, no re-coning, no repairing. I did notice sonic difference putting them against a regular Eminence, more mid range. Looking for input and recommendations.

here is what happened to the original ones, got a little over powered and when pushed they "Fart".

Echo Echo Echo.... lol. Yea I was using 4 10", 2-cabs @ 8-ohm with total 4-ohm load. I guess I got a little too loud (actually my amp head got bumped and the volume knob went to 7, not the usual 2.5) Funny thing is I have an older Aguilar S-210 that did not get damaged. I will be putting the original Aguilar speakers back in, your right the drivers make the cab, just a bummer that's all.

I would have thought that you would be able to get those reconed. There must be recone kits that Eminence sells that a local tech could source for you. I take it you contacted Aguilar customer service?

This is crazy! I just did the same thing (not as sever) to at least one of the two Aguilar Speakers I replaced when this thread was started, I didn't realize it was back in '14, funny how time fly's. So I blew a speaker again. This time I have been thinking of using off the shelf Eminence (maybe the CA1059) and see how this goes, also may switch to 4-ohm cabinet load. Anybody out there do anything this crazy? I have to pull the trigger soon though.
I have also been thinking going with a GK Plex and a AccuGroove powered wedge. Just not sure how many american dollars I want to spend.
