Ahoy Hoy

I Just turned 18 and finally got my first bass for my birthday a few weeks ago. Ill be teaching myself so any help will be greatly apreciated. So far all i know is the notes on the fret board and i can read starndard notation for bass (as long as i take my time).
I enjoy a wide selection of music and bands and i hope to soon be making a bit of music of my own.

Listen to alot of other bassists and learn what they play note for note by transcribing. This way you will soon begin to understand how bassists support a band.
