Double Bass AI Coda r for bluegrass

Good morning,
I am thinking of buying one of the new AI combos. I was wondering if the new Coda R with it's increase in power has enough volume to be heard on stage as a monitor. I play bluegrass and use an RE 20 to mic. up my bass. We don't use floor monitors so the guitar player would like to hear more bass ( I stand behind the rest of the band). I am wondering what other users of this amp have found in their situations.

How's the Lefty Awesome Cleve Treatin' Ya ?? Like those Gamut G'n'D's ? What-Ever .... I Love my 2-Channel Series-3 Coda Black-Box for bluegrass ... Not only for some-honkin' stage monitor action .... But also for some Big-Time Sound when I hook-in my Wizz-12-M-Line as an ex-speak without tying into the PA. I run a Rev II p-up mostly .... Sometimes dynamic Shure SM-58 and Sennheissier E-906 mics blended thru the Coda (independently) .... Then sent out to the PA post-EQ. ... Independent stage-volume from the Out-Going PA volume .... Hey I ain't a Sound Guy but I know What I Mean... Nice on my Kays and Epi basses .... No Complaints.

I know you have gotten plenty of Good-FeedBack. There was Dang-Good Advise Right There from Bolo, Calivox, and other of us Bass MisFits inthe other Forum ... I read them all. Some of those Same Folks helped me out too when I axxed the same questions not-too-long-ago .../ You Know ...From Yer Other-Post in the "Amps, Speakers, & How To Get More Suck Outta a Late-60's Hoover Vacuum Cleaner" Forum ..... I have Been There.

If you have any other ??? from Me .... Please PM Me .... I think the Coda III 2-Channel Box has major-poop volume-wize .... Dern-Firing-Woof Not-With-Standing ... I think it is just-the-stuff for BlueGrass on-stage ... Plenty of volume for yer Band-Pals .... Plus cool features that you can use to make the Cleve' sound even-better (Although I'm not-so-shure you may need that Whiz-Bang via an amp)

I played in an almost identical situation a few years ago--right down to a guitar player who had trouble hearing the bass. We played into a single mic arrangement so hearing the bass for the audience was no problem.

I used a little Peavy Microbass amp positioned to the side and aimed at the band. I ran a K & K Bass Max into it. It worked fine for us. Beyond its use as a monitor the Peavy was very limited--I might go so far as to say pretty useless. But for the price (about $150 new) it was perfect stage monitor.
