Al Caldwell on A&E Live by Request

Yea, I heard her do the same thing, but never the rest of the band....... either a missed it or maybe she forgot.

Anyone that didn't catch it last night see it later?

I'm making a DVD copy with out the commercials now... :D

Yea I was in bed early last night and flipped channels and when I saw Ms. Williams I said "SWEET" maybe I can catch some views of Al. Well after about 10 seconds I realized that Al had the prime spot of being nearly center stage right behind Ms. Williams (and I be the view was rather nice from there also...) If anyone is willing to copy a DVD version of that please PM me for what I might be able to do in return.

(Unless of course there is some possibility that it would be realeased on DVD. Al, Any chance of that? Maybe with an alternate camera angle that stayed on you????)

I watched some of it last night. And had the same reaction when Al was slapping on the 9 string. It is a great band, and I'm sure a great gig but Vanessa left me kind of cold in a Kathy Lee and Regis kind of way. But, I was there for the bass.


EDIT: There was an American Music Awards show on Much Music last night. I tuned in as people such as Mary J Blige and Beyonce were signing in a tribute to Stevie Wonder. Hmmmm. Best to leave the tunes to Stevie.

There is a lot to be said for a super tight perfromance that was the Vanessa Williams show. My humble apologies to all.

I watched the show last night and thought it was really good. Al is an amazing player and that 9 string sounded good even on a smaller TV speaker. I was really impressed with the piano player, the guy was very good and has a great voice as well. Of course Vanessa is not at all hard on the eyes. She kept distracting me away from that Benevante 9 string. ;)

Yeah, I think they did a great job of showing Al. Too often bassists get stuck with no camera-time. Glad to see that it didn't happen this time.
