Albums that you consider "perfect"...

Kyuss - welcome to sky valley is perfect for me

Blood Sugar Sex Magik is near perfection

and of course: 10,000 days and Lateralus by tool

I know each of these albums by heart, can play alot of their songs, and they mean alot to me, make me remember stuff I went through while listening to them

etc.

Why Do They Rock So Hard- Reel Big Fish
Conference of the Birds- Dave Holland

Some Are Debatable but these albums are all very consistent in their musical message, which I love :bassist:

The Mars Volta - The Bedlam in Goliath: Start to stop I think the album as a whole is an absolutely amazing journey. Every single minute fraction of sound coming from my speakers when it's on is a key role in setting the tone and outlining the story and mood of the album. There are a couple of songs I wouldn't listen to on their own and a lot I would (and often do), but, 95% of the time, it's gotta go start to stop and repeat until I pass out for me!

Muse - Origin of Symmetry: As with Bedlam, start to stop is the best way to listen to this one, but, I would most definitely pick any single song off of there for a one shot Muse fix. The whole things just runs in such a nice dramatic fashion, I feel like I'm watching a movie while listening to it.

Audioslave - Audioslave: Every song on there inspires me in it's own way. I bought my first fuzz pedal after hearing the verse in "Gasoline." Their other two albums are incredible in my opinion, and they will always be my favorite band (followed closely by the two mentioned above), but, the self-titled just blew me out of the water in a way no other album has. There was obviously a lot of hype around the band as the album was coming out and I think they more than surpassed everyone's expectations.

Porcupine Tree - Deadwing; System of a Down - Toxicity; Dream Theater - Scenes From a Memory, Train of Thought; The White Stripes - Elephant: All albums that I think are perfect if not very close to perfect in their own right...they really capture the true energy in each band and would all be perfect examples of "THIS is how you write and record music" for their respective genres.

I also can't stop listening to the new Raconteurs album...too soon to decide if it's "perfect" but I think it's pretty awesome.

Handsome (self titled)

it's not a 'bass player' album, or a technical show, and so few people have even heard of them, it's not even something many people will recognize--but this album is perfect

The only near perfect album I know of is Dark Side of the Moon. That's a 97.3 on the list of all music ever. Good albums are around a 50.

There hasn't been a perfect album yet, but some come close. Some of my favs:
