Tough one.
I like what I consider good stuff.
I like Summit Pale Ale and I like Sam Adams.
On the other side, I like Corona.
I also like Pilsner Urquell <sp?>, Amstel Light and my favorite cheap American beer is ... ROLLING ROCK!
I really like Rolling Rock.
I hate Budweiser and worst of all, Miller Light. Headaches in cans.

I'm more of an ale guy, myself. And you?

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale has been my favorite of late, although I am quite fond of German and Czech lagers...then there's Schneider Hefe-Weizen...and of course, Imperial Stouts can be quite tasty on a cold day...and then there's IPA and Doppelbock and Vienna Lagers like Dos Equis Dark and Negra Modelo...so, the answer is, YES!!!

I like lagers and for my money there's nothing better than a good kolsch or pilsener on a hot day but I drink ales a lot more often with porter being my favorite style.

And technically the only "true" American beer style. Lager yeast fermented at ale temperatures gives it a unique taste.

Typically an ale guy. Perhaps case after case of cheap American lagers throughout college wore me out on the metallic bite of a lot of lagers. I generally prefer a milder ale yeast, the resins of Belgian strains, and the general taste of Special London ale yeast.
