Wheat ales. Preferably Hefeweizens. The only Lager I really like is the Paulaner Marzen Munchen. Damn good lager.

I just bought 3 different types of ale from these guys
and the beer is super smooth

the brown ale is awesome
the spice ale is nice and bitey

Ale. I've always considered lager to be a kid's drink, one step along the road from a three litre bottle of Lightning Jack cider

I really like lager styles like:
Weizenbock
Hefeweizen
Dopplebock
Baltic Porter and Porter
etc...

Ale:
India pale ale
Stout
Belgian styles
etc...

When I still drank, was definately more of an Ale drinker. A nice cool IPA would always hit the spot nicely. Certainly helped that I used to work in one of the top Real Ale pubs in Scotland .

Both can be good or absolutely terrible depending on brand. I have a preference for the ould stout myself(try growing up in Dublin and escaping Guinness ) Had some lovely Honey ale called bar bar the other day actually. Could drink that all day.

My Pop roofed the Coors plant in Memphis and the GM of Coors gave me a Killians Irish Red, and it was purty good.
