Alembic Activators

Hi,

I was wondering where I can get activators. How much are they? I love the sound of them. I went on Alembic's website and it said that Activators were $950. Is that a list price? Are they actually cheaper?

That is insane. Alembic stuff is nicely made and all, but give me a friggin break.

Sometimes you can find them used for a reasonable price. But otherwise you have to buy them from Alembic... and yes, that's the price.

BassNW is a dealer for Alembic accessories (straight out of Alembics mouth) call them.

What configuration are you looking for? I have a set of PJ 4's (from 1987) that I might be persuaded to part with.

If you call Alembic, they will sell your cosmetically scratched pickups cheap... like $100. But you don't get the electronics.

I made some buffers for a guy that got a couple of Alembic soapbars he put in a bass he built.

I make active pickups that sound similar to Alembics. Activators are low Z active pickups.

I think my passive pickups have a similar tone as my actives, but different.
