I only comment that because I've done it more times than I care to recall (I'm also terrible at trying to record YouTube videos... lol). Repetitive basslines like that are the hardest to maintain tempo. Still, you did a great job. Thanks for laughing at my meme. No offense intended. Just having a little fun.

Smooth Criminal is a deceptively simple bassline. Whether in the original or the Alien Ant Farm cover, cleanly playing those rapid-fire notes with your fingers (without slipping) is not easy. Excellent bassline to really tighten up your technique.

I understand the intention of the message, don't worry. I'm not good at recording covers either. Sometimes I do good covers, but generally I make mistakes. I just do it for fun. I never studied music, nor is it what I do for a living, but it helps me disconnect from work and other things.

Thanks for the comment!, It's a fun bass line and I enjoy playing it; in other, less demanding songs I'm not so relaxed. I think the enjoyment helps!
