Alien Vs Predator Requiem

In different degrees I enjoyed all of the Alien and Predator movies including the AvP flick. These movies were designed for thrill and for the most part delivered. I will see the new one. The only scene in the preview I don't like is the young woman getting pinned to the wall; too cheesy-gore for my taste. Same with any movie pinning someone to a wall or tree with an item, it just looks silly.

One of the few films i've seen that was cheesier gore-wise was Jason X

The previous AvP flick was not very good at all IMO. It was one of those that tell too much - it's as if they don't believe that the audience can think for themselves. No room for imagination - which is one of many things that made the Alien (1979) so good.

But the trailer looks promising. I'll probably watch it.

As do i, and i think they are great, well, not too hot on the 3rd one personally, but the point i was getting at is there hasnt been anything close to the originals in years!

I love them, but the first one is pretty weak compared to Aliens and Ali³n. Can't wait for Requiem!

Alien was supposed to be suspenseful, not gory. It succeeded at that and was also light years ahead of anything else out at the time. (I think 1979?) And it was just a well made movie with a damn good storyline.

Alien 3 - Thriller

I do prefer Aliens over Alien, but, the film really set the scene!

absolutely.And we should all forget the second half of Alien 4 ever happenned.
