Alien Vs Predator Requiem

actually, this thread is at least the third thread about the movie...

but I'm pretty excited about it...

I'm sure it will suck...

but an alien/predator hybrid will kick big rear end...
(there is supposed to actually be one this time, right? I could have sworn that I saw one the first time I watched the trailer...maybe I was wrong?)

idk...anyway...

I'm excited yet dreading it at the same time...

:)
Later

Because its a crossover film between two film series which essentially died over a decade ago.

Because i've yet to see any action/thriller/killer film in recent years which is worth seeing.

Because the other AvP sucked, because the trailer, while amusing, leads to a lame movie (all IMO of course).

I'll still do and see it, but i wont expect much.

One crossover they really want to do is Freddie vs Jason vs Ash, but there isnt much hope of that happening anymore :(

The people doing this movie are NOT the same people who wrote and designed the first AvP movie. Those idiots tried to take the two bloodiest space monster movie franchises, and make it a kid's film with a PG-13. It was a horrible attempt to be popular and catch merchandising opportunities and make toys for kids to buy.

It bombed.

The crew making this next movie UNDERSTAND that people want a bloody, gory, mutilated horrific AvP just as gruesome and frightening as the original films. RATED R. Nothing less. They got the concept down far better, and will not do a horrible job. Especially since most of this filmcrew are fans of the original films and DON'T wanna see another crappy crossover film done just to cash in and get rich.

That alone, gives me great confidence that this movie will be superior.

psht...I still watch the Alien movies all the time...
I concur with the lack of good action/thriller/killer movies lately...
I haven't gone to see one (other than the Halloween remake, which was not my idea) in a looooong time, and the last few that I have seen, have been total disappointments.

but, I'm hoping that AVPR will prove me wrong.

The funny thing is, when the original Alien films were coming out, you could get toys for them! Even tho they were rated 18 and clearly no kid should have seen them, tho i do remember watching Aliens with my dad when it was first shown on TV over here when i was about 5 :D Same thing went for the Terminator films, there were toys for them too.

psht...I still watch the Alien movies all the time...

As do i, and i think they are great, well, not too hot on the 3rd one personally, but the point i was getting at is there hasnt been anything close to the originals in years!

In different degrees I enjoyed all of the Alien and Predator movies including the AvP flick. These movies were designed for thrill and for the most part delivered. I will see the new one. The only scene in the preview I don't like is the young woman getting pinned to the wall; too cheesy-gore for my taste. Same with any movie pinning someone to a wall or tree with an item, it just looks silly.
