Aliens...

I have just finished reading the trilogy and am working my way through the quadrilogy of movies. 2 is easily the best because there are loads of the damn things! I think I am the only guy I know who actually likes all four movies though

Two eyes.
One nose, two nostrils, above the mouth.
One mouth.
Two arms.
Two legs.
Fingers.
Toes.
Very human-like torso.
Better than most, but still just another elephant-man ripoff...

The way I see it, if they're out there, they want nothing to do with us. Either they're technologically behind us, or if they're technologically advanced enough to have interstellar travel, what would they want with our dinosaur technology?
Chances they have evolved ways we can't imagine in forms we can't imagine. I would suspect though that intelligent life would tend to come from a barren enviornment such as a savannah or the bottom of the ocean that requires a good memory to survive in. Chances are also that they are predatory and that they also would have large family groups.
I'd put my money on having numerous species throughout the universe. Look at the diversity of humans alone. The universe is a far larger specimen dish.
That is explained in the film though. The alien that is "born" from inside the host takes on a lot of the attributes of the host. Hencfe why in Alien and Aliens, there was a strong "humanoid" resemblence to the aliens whereas, in Alien 3, the alien was hosted by the dog and was more "dog-like".
Geez....I can't believe I out nerded you on that.....
