But my piece of crap mic'ed camera won't stop cracking. Whenever I play loud enough to get the correct sound and my amp really kicking in the stupid cracking destroys it:scowl:.
I did a recording of pulling teeth and look at the crap quality it frustrates me so much:mad:.

My question is I don't have a crapload of money to record YT videos the most I'll do is borrow a better camera (as this one is a 125 dollar small one). Also is there anything I can do that will allow me to play at decent volumes without making the speaker crack?

If your camera has any kind of mic input, you could either mic your amp or possibly run a direct out with an adapter to mini plug or rca (whatever your camera has). Most likely in either case you'd have to run it through a mixer or a preamp first to make it sound good.

If you have a recording interface for your computer (guessing you don't), you could record direct into that while you're shooting your video and combine it, but make sure you record in 48kHz or the video and audio won't be in sync.

I just got the "Link Removed" USB/instrument cable. It's pretty good for non-pro recording and is under $100.

You could use this to record the audio and then just sync up the video from your camera and you should be good to go.

No you wouldn't, but I checked your gear in your profile and the DI out from your ashdown head should sound great. This is assuming you have a proper recording interface for your computer. If not, that stealth plug is probably a good choice if you only want to record bass.

No you won't, but you'll at least get the clean sound from your bass and not this distorted mess. You can always reamp it in software, Voxengo Boogex (bring the drive setting to zero), along with some impulses from http://noisevault.com/nv/ is good for that. Free options BTW.

Hmmm I've heard of something called Audacity, is this a worthy recording software download that will help?
Oh also I do't have that special DI cable, any way I can use standard 1/4 jacked cables? I have an adapter that will get a 1/4 jack plugged into my comp

but I thought when you plug straight into the computer it's not your computer speakers that will get recorded the computer records the clean signal directly from the amp right?

Also as I stated before I don't get the correct sound if I lower the amp volume.

true, but I wanted it good and a-holes at YT are so judgemental, why is my vid only two stars at the moment:mad: freaking embarrassing, is playing that off? I thought it was better or at least as good as the other full versions. Well at least it was only one user rating so far hopefully it will get better feedback oh and this isn't a thread to rant about that.
