That's the setting Newsted used for the Justice album.
I'll definitely be keeping my eye on this pedal. Side to side playing the Ampeg BA115 v2 and the Rumble 200 v3 combos I found for what I was playing and with my setup the Rumble had an edge on versatility and of course weight. But there was something very satisfying and familiar and just "right" about the Ampeg tone that made me wish I could have the best of both worlds. For those who aren't into the new combos and still want "that" tone, this pedal ought to do the trick. And I found the Scrambler overdrive to be above average, as well. That blend control is a good idea: it keeps the overdrive from getting too compressed, in my opinion.
P.S. Since it was discussed briefly on the last page: The new BA series circuit has plenty of mids, by the way.

Correct me if I'm wrong. So essentially if I go DI out from my Micro VR it will pretty much be the same as using this pedal? Only without the scrambler feature.
That I can't answer. But it might. I would think it would definitely be in the ballpark.
Well, just pre ordered. The perks of being Single and having no mouths to feed or much overhead. I imagine I'll be getting about 20 phone calls and 5 emails from Sweetwater from now until it comes in. Like I said above, I enjoy the VT Bass Deluxe but I do miss having a clean DI Box like my old M80. I imagine I'll still have use for my VT Bass in front of the Ampeg and for different tonal options depending on the situation.

I'm also intrigued by how this new box compares to the VT. Especially, how will it react with other dirt pedals : is there a kind of LPF as on the VT to reduce the extreme highs ?
I actually just cancelled the pre-order. They got a hold of me and I guess their initial shipment is SOLD OUT and aren't expecting the next one until June. I'll check some reviews and probably find the nearest store to try it out/purchase if I can't find it online.
Hodgy (from Ampeg) mentioned "yes" as long as your power amp's input supported the pedal's level of output (sorry that I don't know the actual terminology).
Found the post. Power amp needs to be able to accept a Line-Level signal. Hmmm...Kinda like how my MXR M80 only works on "some" power amps....I'm gonna have to A/B this thing with my M80...

Pretty much every power wants a line level signal. The power amps input sensitivity is what you want to look at. If the preamp can't feed it the voltage it wants sometimes it doesn't work so great.
