While walking my dog the other day, I was daydreaming about what questions I would ask Paul if a miracle happened and I got to have a conversation with him. I came up with these three:
It seems that you always, or usually, write the music before the words. But do you always have the melody first and then harmonize it, or do you ever hear the chords first, and then find a melody which works over it?
On "Rubber Soul", there are actually back-to-back songs which include the same rhyming lyrics: "listen" and "missing." ("You Won't See Me" and "Nowhere Man.") Do remember who wrote his song first, and did the other guy consciously copy that rhyme as a playful nod, or something?
On "Yellow Submarine", the marching band music is in the right key and tempo. Did EMI organize their library of public domain music by key and tempo? Or did you guys actually tailor your song to fit that excerpt?
(After these serious questions, I'd ask him what the knobs on his Rickenbacker do, and what kind of strings he uses.

@dougjwray - If your goal is to find out how Paul achieved his tone on his Ric I'll be glad to help. Cool story about George's (2nd) Rickenbacker 360 12-string that I had never heard before.
Thanks, nixxy! I had noticed from photos that George had the two different models of 360/12. And I'd read about the Rickenbacker manufacturer giving him the first one (he thought he was giving it to John!). But I don't recall finding out where George had gotten the 2nd one, before. Thanks for this.
A side note about Suzi Arden's Rick 12 (the very first Rick 12-string made). A guy on the RRF bought it from som auction or other, and modified it to be just like George's.

Talking of the 'Get Back' documentary, I stumbled across this lot at a house clearance / reclamation warehouse a few weeks ago. They look great next to the Hof:

Couldn't have been more wrong. George a minister? Just a slight stretch. Paul bankrupt??? Yeah, right! Ringo a farmer. Not hardly. John vanished? Not by his choice. And UK a colony of Canada!?! Tail wagging the dog.
Although, in the '60s, even The Beatles themselves thought they probably wouldn't be playing music in their 50s & 60s.
