I just stumbled across this video indicating there was no bass on "Two of Us"! Geoge played a bass-like line on his mahogany Telecaster!

@G-Dog - it’s actually a Rosewood Telecaster which was built by Philip Kubicki when he worked for Fender.

You're so right, nixxy. I was confusing it with Les Paul gits, which George got "into" later. Thank you for the correction.

Thanks for posting that. To this day, I've still never seen the Let It Be film, and have always assumed that John and George were on acoustic guitars, with Paul on bass.

I, too, have never seen the entire Get Back film, either, but only snippets here and there. IIRC, it's U.S. release was canceled and I failed to get the VHS version that was available for a short time.

That's why I'm so excited to see Peter Jackson's new version coming later this year. Even if it is a more light hearted edition than the original, as I've heard, I believe it'll still be good, historical infotertainment.

I have a low quality copy on a dvd my old boss gave me. I tried to watch it again the other day. Low resolution, scratches/locking up. I’ll try it again on a different player.
C to see them and sad also. They bicker a lot during it. I too want to see the new version.
