I think You Won’t See Me is among the most underrated Beatles songs.
Oh, I was interested to see that when John wanted to show that he was all in and would come in to rehearse the next day.

George was also the only one shown wiping down a guitar at the end of the day. Although his LP also slid off whatever it was leaning on at one point. Apparently, guitar stands were not available back then. For that matter, music stands were not so common as to be used correctly, either.

Neither of those statements is true. The Beatles just chose not to use them.
That’s me in 1978. If you look closely to the left of my left leg in the back is an ancient guitar stand. They were flimsy. But they worked.

Music stands were available at the time. I guess that they couldn’t be bothered.
Someone in the fretboard dot com thread linked above said, "players only owned one guitar, and put it in its case when it wasn't being used", which describes my garage bands in the '60s to a tee. And we also had one, maybe two, very flimsy wire-like music stands that often fell down/over for no apparent reason.
The music stores did have stands, but they seemed too expensive to us at the time, with so many other necessities to buy, with better gear always beckoning.We also certainly didn't have a Mal or a Neil or anybody to stack guitars or stand there & hold the scribbled words/chords sheets for us.

This is like the Hamilton folding stand that I had in the 60’s. There was felt on the arms. Wing nuts allowed you to disassemble it for transport. It never left the house. Instruments went into cases for gigs.
