I'm a newbie on here, this is my first post. I've been playing bass since I was 13 and have been in various bands over the years (I am 36 now). I gave up playing altogether in 1998 and have only picked up a bass recently. I had an old Aria Pro II kicking about my garage which I gave to my 12 year old nephew as he wanted to learn the bass. It was only through showing him a few things that I realised what I was missing out on and have decided to pick the bass up again.
It surprised me how much I remembered (i.e theory and practice wise).
Only thing is now, since I have given my last remaining bass to my nephew I need to get another one. I should have one by the end of the week and can't wait. I need an amp too. I used to have among other things a TRACE stack (4x10, 1x15 and an AH250 head), a Trace Combo, a Peavey TKO 75 and various other amps. I am going to go for a Peavey TKO115 as I was really impressed with the TKO75.
As for basses, I am a bit out of touch and can't afford any top end basses (I am kicking myself for selling my Musicman Stingray). For now I am going for a Stingray copy (its made by Westfield). Not a great make but hopefully it will be ok for me.
