Has anyone ever tried a C-G-D-G-C tuning on a five string? I have a bass I use for more solo-ish playing and I was thinking about setting it up with 5ths tuning on the low strings and 4ths tuning on the high strings. I could still play orchestral lit, but also make solo work a little more accessible.
