Alternative expression pedals for the DD-7

hey all. just got a DD-7 and want to try out the expression function on it and was wondering if there were any pedals that would do the job as well as the recomended Roland EV-5 (but cheaper preferably), i noticed that the Moog was about half the price but didn't know if it would work with it.
