Alternative jazz bass brands ?

Fender Mexico? or better yet, a used Fender Mexico.

To be honest if you can't afford $800 for a Fender, your only decent options are the two brands you named.

people here told me about sx, and their problems, im so confused with these basses, some people tells me that they are good basse and i will get more, than i paid for, but some people also tolds me that they have a lot of problems etc etc, and they arent a good deal.. :hmm:

Don't expect American Fender quality for $100 but they probably are the most bang for the buck for that price though. What's your price range anyway? $100 or $400?

For $400 go used Fender, for $100 go SX.

The Link Removed is a fairly good passive jazz style bass for around $240 new if you're sure you don't want a Link Removed for $280 which has gotten great reviews.

Having owned (yes, it's gone now) the Peavey and played several Squier VM Jazz, I recomend the Squier hands down.
