Alternative to Darkglass Vintage Microtubes?

I'm unaware of a clone, but I found that the modded Pork Loin fit my needs better for that tone than the VMT. Also, the Dunwich ODB is similar to the Pork Loin (on my settings, at least!) but with a bit more treble and presence. Not sure exactly what tone you're going for, but those may help. If you're specifically looking for something "Joyo-priced", then the Ultimate Drive may be worth a look. It's an affordable OCD clone that's bass friendly. The Dunwich ODB is also an OCD clone, so it would likely cover similar territory, though I've never owned both at the same time to do a direct comparison.

Nothing that I know of.
Darkglass VMT at high ERA settings has a metallic tone that some like or hate. But unlike the B3K, it sounds a lot more amplike and has natural compression that sounds awesome, like a tube amp.

I think it reminds me of exactly as Doug intended; the awesome tones of the 90’s grunge era bassists.
It sounds even better with my aluminum neck I added to my bass.

A few years ago I soldered and assembled this one:
Having the VMT also, it's possible to dial in very similar sounds on both. But, generally the Guma sounds like the naughty brother of the VMT.
Sadly Schalltechnik (makers of that kit and a number of other cool bass kits) is no longer in operation!
