Alternatives to Schaller picks

Weird thread, I know.

Basically, about 15 years ago I used to buy these Schaller picks from a local shop (which has since closed down). They were made of a hard plastic that was unlike the material Dunlop uses for its Tortex picks (which have more of a "soft touch" quality to them), and neither was it like the usual cheap no-brand plastic picks (which are either too "hard" and glassy, too coarse, whatever), and of course they were nothing like celluloid picks (which are more "bendy" and too soft). I liked them because they were hard but not too hard, they had a bit of texture but it was smooth. I have been unable to find a true replacement, but maybe there is something that comes close.

a quick search shows that they’re nylon with some texture. Common alternatives would be Dunlop Max grip or planet waves nylpro.

If you don’t want the grip , then look for plain nylon.
I also found that they might have been nylon, but don't know about the texture. I found a Russian language site that has some still listed. Here is a screen shot of what they look like. There should be something similar at most local music stores.

it's actually an Ukrainian website, I know them.

if they have it in stock, shipping it to Italy might be possible. if the OP wants it, I can ask them, PM me with details.

Yes, those are the ones. But I don't think they warrant importing them from the back of a warehouse (or a storage room) from wherever. (You see, not having those picks is not the end of the world).

Anyway, they might be nylon, but not in the sense we have come to expect. Nylon picks are usually very soft, "rubbery" things, whereas these might have technically been nylon but they were hard.
