Alternatives to Spitfire

Does anyone know of any alternatives to Spitfire for an aged/relic tort. pickguard? Would love a beat up and yellowed-out guard for my ‘62 Jazz. Thanks.

You might be able to relic a new pickguard yourself. I’ve done this a few times with 0000 steel wool and some brown liquid shoe polish. It wont be a Spitfire, but you’ll save a hell of a lot of money.

Take the sheen off of a decent quality tort guard with 0000 steel wool. Mine were from WD.

I did this to mine, although I didn't get the white edges of the pickguard to fade. What's the process of using shoe polish? thanks

I just rub it on the pickguard with the foam applicator, then wipe off the excess with a rag.
