Aluminum & Paper Stack?

Has anyone ever combined a cab with aluminum cones with a cab that has paper cones? example: GK Goldline with a GK RBH.

if so could you shed some light?

any insight into this scenario would be much appreciated.

Sure. Used to plop a Hartke 4x10 on top of my SWR 4x10. No big deal, works fine. I replaced the Hartke with another SWR because I preferred the sound, but it worked fine. No mystery or weirdness.

I've just sold my large rig - a Trace Elliot 500W head, Hartke 4X10 ally cone cab and Trace 1X15 paper cab.

I tried the Hartke Ally 15 cone, but it didn't seem as "rounded" as the paper cone, tone wise.

I now use an Ashdown 300W combo with paper 2X10, and it's every bit as good tonally as both the other cabs I had

nice. thanks guys. yeah, i've got an RBH410 (8 ohm) and need to add more power, so i'm checking out all my options. Hartke and the GK Goldlines are on my list.

Yeah, i really just wanted to make sure the combination meshes well or w/o problems.
