alvarez dana bass

hey, it's here! #170 from '92...i'm pretty excited, but i'm tellin' ya...the setup is freakin' atrocious! worse than your typical warwick in gutar center, or even worse, a gc olp stingray...i'm tweaking it in right now...it needs some new strings, too, while i'm at it...thinking about even sending itto curbow for a new neck...wearing the bass is a comfort, but it could be better...maybe new pups, new bridge, and a new rockwood neck will do the trick...it sounds uber sweet, too...granted, the playability is a big issue right now...let me iron this neck out...and the batteries are charging for the camera :D this bass is also in great shape to be 15 years old and korean

Hey Neptoon, you are aware that Greg Curbow died, right? I don't know if they're still making rockwood necks anymore. I know they still have their luthier school in operation, but I don't know about their production. Might wanna call them...just a heads-up for you.

from what i understand they're still in full swing with doug at the helm...i'll indeed give 'em a buzz, though...you know that doug has been the guy that greg had build his necks for the past several years...man, now that you bring it up, i sure do miss my rockwood petite 6 string...god that bass was a tank

Not that this has anything to do with Dana basses, but I finally got my new bass yesterday:
