am i able to use another type of knob?

Hi, 1 of the knob on my bass isn't working well and thought of changing it, however it has a square base and i'm not sure if i can just use the usual ones with a round base as long as they both have b100k rating?

out of interest too, anyone knows why there are 6 pins even though it isn't stacked?

The 6 conductor ones are just dual / stereo. Just use one side, should work. Round vs. square doesn't matter.

The shape of the base does not matter.

As long as the resistance and taper are the same you’re good. The style of the case doesn’t matter.

Yeah, either blend (opposing "slants" on the curves /\) or stereo vol (if the curve slants are the same //).

Besides the resistance, there's also the audio vs linear taper potentiometers. Make sure they match as well.
