I’m putting this in amps and cabs, but it’s distinctly possible that I just need lessons in etiquette.
After nearly a decade in the boonies, living in a 3/2 on ten acres, I now find myself in a 2/1 on a half acre lot right in the urban sprawl of Dallas, TX.
Here’s my current amplification gear:
Ignoring the dog @$$, we see that I do not have a lot of choices for low volumes. I’m looking for a good combo amp that won’t bother my neighbors too much, BUT will still sound pretty decent with the low A on my fiver (all the stuff I write is in D standard or C standard, so I make use of the low A for D standard stuff).
And please don’t say headphones. I ain’t no rocket surgeon, but I ain’t that dumb, neither. I don’t like headphones at home, especially in the city. Call me a paranoid bumpkin, but I like to be aware of what’s happening around me.
So: smallish, good for low volumes, and (hopefully) able to reproduce notes below low E at least acceptably.
Any suggestions???
