I've been looking for another bass for my stable--I play in a 10 piece oldies cover band (I'm a somewhat older guy)--and happened into a GC nearby; now, I have a nice Stingray, Fender Sting, CIJ Precsion, etc., but was looking for a natural finish bass (I've had the ATK, G&L Tribute); I had my eye on the Ibanez SR600, and it was fine, kind of mellow, but the lower priced SRX350 in natural ash really knocked me out; I was playing Motown lines all over the place, with a bigger neck, and it was an aggressive but not disagreeable sound (I am in a big band), but can this thing be this good for this little? I mean, my son says, "Dad, it's a heavy metal bass." I thought it looked and sounded great. I had an ATK700 which I rather miss. Just wondering...always thought Ibanez was a little wimpy, but this baby rocked! Please tell me I'm nuts before my band does.
