Am I Looking for Fuzz, Distortion, or Overdrive?

I'm a big fan of Tim Foreman, who is my biggest influence for bass. I love the dirty tones he gets live on songs like "The Original" and "This Is Your Live". I'm a guitarist primarily so I'm not sure how dirt pedals interact and add to bass tone. Which should I be looking for if I'm after the tones in the videos below? I play a Jazz Bass through a Fender Rumble 15. Thanks!

The Original:

First is an OD, second sounds almost B:assmaster-ish.

I would check out an Empress Multidrive. Has OD, fuzz and distortion and lots of EQ controls. Great on bass, and you can use it on guitar, as well.

Vegas, do you have a wooly mammoth? I have been thinking of getting one and am trying to find out whether its worth the price tag or not.

I don't have one, but I've played them quite a bit. It's a cool and unique fuzz, but I'm under the opinion of it being overpriced for what it is. I'd still give it a test run if I were you, though.
Value is in the eye of the beholder. ;)

I'm with your opinion on the price and the beholder thing. It seems there are a fair amount of wooly clones to be found, though, if one were just wanting to try something out. Never had the urge to try one myself, but it's an interesting fuzz for sure.
