Canada Am I the only Canuck here!?

Voted! I have opinions too...but those are a no go here on TB... :D

And rightfully so. I just spent the last two days straight fighting the good fight then volunteered to help count the ballots which was a shitshow and now I’m chillin here and want nothing more to do with politics for awhile. Or at least till next spring’s provincial elections lol.

Seriously though. If I want to get into politics online I have other places to go to if I want to do that. TB is a sacred neutral place for me. All about the music.

I voted as well.
Now I can start complaining!
(Which I could do no matter who won)-so that wasn't a political statement.
I've heard it said many times that if you don't vote, you have no right to complain. I have a great deal of disdain for that school of thought. To me, any government is essentially very much like a corporation, we the public are it's share holders. I bet many here hold shares of traded companies and I also bet that many don't take advantage of their voting rights as a share holder.
To my mind, if you pay taxes, you have a right to complain... the same way a shareholder has the right to complain as a result of owning a company's shares.

Just making a joke--we'd all complain any way.
But I pretty much will vote any way.

Actually,
I the opposite is true.
A corporation is about profit.
A government is a spending machine.
What we need are representatives that spend it wisely.
