Also, while I am a huge Rush and Geddy fan, I always think of Rush as being a great bassist/guitarist combo with a great drummer. Yes, Lee and Peart are a machine together, but I always think of Zeppelin (and Bill Ward Sabbath) when I think of a rythm section. Don't quite know how to explain it. Maybe because Page was more of a do-his-own-thing guitar god while Lifeson is more of a team player, I don't know.
In an interview a couple of years ago when Zeppelin was getting a Kennedy Center honor thing in Washington DC JPJ says he remember the day he first jammed with Zeppelin, he remembered thinking on his way to the practice space "I just hope the drummer's good."
