While it's not exactly amazing, it's nevertheless interesting. This is a slab of walnut which belongs to a friend of mine. As you can see, there's an actual walnut within the walnut.

Not "amazing" but I thought I'd spend a few hours with one subject and try different POV's and processing. Kinda of a nice way to spend and afternoon. Here are a few
A car is trapped on a road damaged by two recent earthquakes south of Wasilla in Alaska.
I read a piece by a young girl who was caught out on the road during the Kiakoura earthquake in 2016 and was a bit freaked out by the feeling when she was driving with car appearing to be floating.
After stopping and then realising what had happened she started driving again, much too quickly, came around a corner and hit a section of road that had been pushed up about 18inches. All four tires were blown and she ended up doing some damage to her back.
