My favorite thing to do after a North Rim to South Rim hike is to sit on that overlook and realize I just walked through that entire section.
That reminds me of something my daughter told me.
She used to live next to a deer park and regularly ran through and round it. During the rutting season there would be photographers in camo gear crawling around in the grass trying to get close to them. This frightened the deer away.
All they needed to do was put on fluorescent pink or yellow and walk up to them and the deer completely ignored them because this was an everyday occurrence.
