It was probably 3/4 drained the next day. It’s only dry in the summer. One year, the front yard culvert froze solid and there was a decent pond until almost May. The ducks and geese like it.

Nice! Looks like the C-17 came home to the airport where it was originally built.
Actually, that was taken at Chino (KCNO), when I was working security, for the Planes of Fame Museum.
Not often you get to drive your own car on the flightline. Couldn't resist taking this pic.
Don't see these thunderheads over the valley very often. No thunder or lightning, but some modest hail.
