This is a screen capture I took this morning while watching the Pennsylvania Game Commission's live feed of the Hanover bald eagle nest. Watching this nest and the dynamics at play in real time has been one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Moments before this picture was taken, both parents were off camera and only the two eaglettes were in the nest. Mom then swooped up from the bottom left of the screen and landed closest to the camera. She began feeding the eaglettes when Dad dropped in from the upper right and pitched in for a few minutes before taking off.
Here's one I took at the zoo on Wednesday.
Palm Springs (area) is on an aquifer and not experiencing water shortage. "califorinians" are not complaining about water, your news source is. it is a severe drought year none the less. i take some offense to your comment in that you're far far away from california's water politics. no biggie. there's just a bunch of sour info floating about on the topic. media spins califorinians as cray cray, and we're not.

The media may be spinning the situation into there favor, but according to this map, Cathedral City isn't looking too "wet". Almost 15% of CC aquifer have dried up about 3-6ft while the rest have dipped 0-2ft. It may not be a shortage, but it sure isn't replenishing.
