Is this Banaue in the Philippines?

I tried like mad to get more info on the picture (there is no info given with it) but my initial first impression of the picture is Vietnam. If hard pressed I'd say the territories near Mu Cang Chai which are breath taking beautiful.

Or perhaps Sapa which is equally amazing.

I will admit though I hadn't really seen too much of the Philippines or their rice fields but they look very similar and as beautiful to my eyes.

This puppy's an Akita so, most probably, we're looking at a Japanese landscape. From wikipedia,

The Akita (秋田犬 Akita-inu?) is a large breed of dog originating from the mountainous northern regions of Japan. There are two separate varieties of Akita: a Japanese strain, known as the "Akita Inu" or "Japanese Akita"; and an American strain, known as the "Akita" or "American Akita".

I love Akitas. So far have had two. Saki , as in the pen name of Hector Hugo Monroe, not Sake like most folks assume and Musha. Sadly both have passed. Saki was the best friend ever.

Personally the most interesting Akita(s) to me are the two gifted to Helen Keller as before that is was illegal for them to be sold because they were considered a national treasure.
