Ahhh...that's better!
Although I do prefer fall over spring simply because fall means the end of another hot Sacramento summer, and spring means another hot Sacramento summer is around the corner.
Also, for me anyway - autumn leaves > spring flowers...but I'm grateful for both!

Ultra light aircraft leading young flock to new migration area.
I believe these are cranes, and I also believe I heard on public radio that this project has been defunded. Shame.
How could they not fund this stuff? Beyond belief, really.

So how did they get the birds to follow the Ultra light? Just curious.
I have had a few encounters with birds when flying and they want to get away from the the aircraft as fast as possible.
He raised 'em - in loco parentis. Taught 'em to fly this same way. Then did what their mom and dad would've done - migrate with the change of season. Follow the sun. Simple
