I look in on this thread a couple times a week and am always blown away by the pics. Never thought I'd take one that might be worth posting here. I had forgotten about this one that I took 2 years ago but last night I was going through old pics and came across it again. I'm pretty proud of this one but it was a total fluke as I'm not much of a photographer.
Tectonic activity pushed a shoreline vertical, creating a wall covered in dinosaur footprints.
I've taken a few of the ones I've posted--but not all of them--including the one above your post (That is, I didn't take that one)--but cool picture.
LA on a super clear day.
Just cleared by the LAX control tower to fly over the airport at only 2000 feet altitude. (Very unusual for tower to instruct me to pass over their airspace that close and low)

I'd like to reserve a spot at that table for next autumn.
^^My brother is a car race fan, I always tell him that is so much better to watch them on TV because on site you only see the cars once a lap, he always tells me the best part is not really watching the cars but hearing and feeling them.
^^^^ I second this. I'm not so much into cars but motorbikes, particularly MotoGP are SOOOO much better live. The sound of the whole pack coming by on the first lap of a race is unbelievable, but then again, so is watching how truly fast they are fully cranked over, knee on the ground and watching the tyres scabble for grip.
Third. Being trackside when a pack of 50 Nascars doing 190mph screams by is thrilling / terrifying / overwhelming . Back to the pics...
As a long-time greyhound owner, I approve of this picture.
