Double Bass Amazing Scott Colley here...and the mic?

Because the "face of the mic" is covered by a foam wind screen, all you can really tell is that it's a dark small diaphragm condenser mic of some kind. Truthfully, much of the sound on this clip is about the placement, and the rest is all Scott just being Scott. While there is some difference between an expensive mic and a less expensive one, when jammed up against the bridge/top like that it's more about the player and the tiny are the mic is picking up.

Notice that he also has a Realist pickup.
It sounds like a nice combo of mic & pickup.

Mr. Colley had something to do with the Invalid Link Removed.

I saw him last night with Brian Blade and Edward Simon - so fun to watch!
He had a small condenser mic on an H-clamp. I couldn't get a close look at it but it looked like it had a gold diamond badge on the side so probably a Neumann positioned below the bridge at the G foot.
playing through a Grace Felix and into an Aguilar head. I didn't recognize the cabinet.
Overall, the sound was lacking top end - tending to be muddier than I would like.
