There are a few threads about it already. Yeah, it sucks. That combo of apps have been a joy to use for learning songs.

Changing the pitch is a thing I miss very much which I used for songs that is in between songs! In Amazing Slow Downer you could change the pitch very fine and tune a song so it is NOT in between different keys’

What Are the options now?

I think we should gather together to make Spotify reconsider Their decision!

Apparently not. I record anything I want to learn, so I don't have to be online to work.

Anyway, here is some Transcribe/Spotify info from their FAQ:

"Further note about Spotify: There are apps which can access Spotify tracks on phones and tablets but as far as I know it can't be done on a computer. For more info see this page, and this page, and this page. Update summer 2022 : also see this page which may mean that even mobile devices will no longer be able to change speed and pitch of Spotify tracks after 1st September 2022."

+1 for Transcribe! I’ve never used ASD but have had my Transcribe! license since 2008. I can’t compare the two apps but Transcribe! is fantastic for learning songs or just practicing sections of songs. It looks a little dated like the website but it’s still supported and updated.

OK, got it. I was copying the URL from the address bar and not the share link. The URL contains some string that perhaps doesn't activate the play button. But using the share link works a treat!

If so..

Support both URL strings
Have finer controls for speed. Some songs, the jump from 90% to 100% is tough as hell. If possible, I would love to see 50,60,70,80,85,90,91,92,93,94,95,96,97,98,99,100

If not, thanks for what you have done here. Honestly this is going to help me so much. I was quite cavalier when ASD stopped support for Spotify but it's actually been a bit of a PITA for me

Glad you got it working. I didn't it mention it in the demo video but the extra info in the URL is just the stuff that loads the clip I shared. Opening that link if you just pressed play it should jump you into the loop. I like your suggestions. Grabbing the URL from the YouTube address line makes a lot of sense. I'll figure out a good way to fine tune the speed options without making the picklist too long.
BTW: Any chance you could reply to this with the URL you tried grabbing from the YouTube page? I tend to see a lot of variations in the URL when I navigate there so I just want to make sure I get this right.
