This one is probably a “need” for a few folks here. Guitar interface. Envelope follower. Cab sim. Germanium drive. Euro level FX loop.

I just put this up. The third track is all bass and effects. The rest are all synth tracks.
wait, all Bass-guitar ?The third track is all bass and effects.
wait, all Bass-guitar ?
you use a C4synth pedal or so ?
ahh, i see, so it is in fact a Synthesizer pedal.Boss SY-1
soundwise, i find it missleading to refer to it as "playing Bass", while it technically is ofcourse.
Since the Bass acts here just a controller, but not exactly as the base "sound-delivery unit".
kind of ontopic, vs. using the Bass as a Synthesizer:
The sonicsmith ConvertorE1 is finally coming along.
they got first units in, they want to do some QC and some final FW tweaks.
Should ship in about 2 Weeks ( the standing last friday)
its a instrument pitch to 1V/oct CV convertor.
Its been sayed it should work well with Bass, also with 5 Strings. IIRC down to 25Hz
ConVertor E1 | Sonicsmith
......have one on order now

I´m new to pedals !

Thanks, interesting !
hmmm. i guess i don’t see it that way at all.
i think you can quite clearly that *played* bass notes are being processed.
a controller would be more midi triggering.
this is more oscillator with pitch changing, so played.
imo, etc.
I was definitely playing my bass on that track.
But it's a philosophical question once the pedals get to the point of making it no longer sound like a bass. With the expression pedal controlling the filter, the pedals and the bass together become almost a new instrument I suppose.
yup, probably a philosophical question. But it's a philosophical question once the pedals get to the point
yeah, but: ......"making it nolonger sound like a Bass" is not a problem for my brain.once the pedals get to the point of making it no longer sound like a bass.
no problem. With the expression pedal controlling the filter, the pedals and the bass together become almost a new instrument I suppose.
yeah, i totally get that point of view !hmmm. i guess i don’t see it that way at all.

i understand. So far i never jumped on anything.I have been completely disappointed with pitch to CV in the bass range.
