In other news, I'm going back to stringing the Bordwell 6 to BEADGC.
Although the EADGCF tuning was great for the pedalboard, I found myself not wanting to play the bass at all outside of that context, and given it's my only 6er and I've been doing these great jazz jams with some pros, I miss that damn low B and don't really find the high F as fulfilling in a quartet that already has an incredibly competent guitarist.
And no, don't tell me to get another 6 while I'm sitting here waiting for my 6-er fretless to be built.
I ended up getting a set of DR coated Black Beauties, simply because I haven't tried coated strings yet. I hear a lot of people like em and a lot hate em, so this'll be interesting.
