Apparently that Zone doesn't have those features, since that thing has been on ebay on and off for months.

Check out the thread on the new American Deluxes...it's unreal to me that people are paying that much for the top of the production line model and are getting non-functional pups and weird mystery noises. It seems the only way for it to be a good bass is to put nordy's in it. Oh well....

But yeah, if the zone was for everyone, they wouldn't have stopped making them, that's for sure. So I'm not surprised a Ebay'r is having a hard time moving it in this economy...but, that doesn't make it a bad bass. Or a bad starting point for negotiating a good price, IMO, etc.

Their good basses dont worry about.If anything they 'should' sound better than the Lyte but thats hard for me to believe to be honest.My Lytes sound amazing.
I cant imagine how my Deluxe (mahog) is gonna sound when i upgrade the preamp in it.
Cant wait to do it ! But im just not sure what to upgrade to...what brand ?

If I spent 1500 or 1600 on a bass & the electronics were sub-par, it would be going back, that's for sure!! People were giving Epiphone guff over noisy electronics when the Tbird Pro first came out; in a MIA bass costing 3x that amount it's just inexcusable.

...and the MIA Zone went for 1200 on ebay. Not bad, considering the quality of build (at least the look of quality) Of course, those p'ups scream Peavey Cirrus at me...but this thread has me curious; I'd like to try a MIA Zone in person. (I know, good luck with that!)
