I recently purchased an American Pro II Precision Bass from an online retailer here in Canada. When it arrived, I found the truss rod hex socket chewed up, like someone had used the wrong wrench. The retailer suggested it was probably someone in their shop, and promised to get a new nut for me, but then I heard nothing, and they now don't respond to messages. So I decided to get a replacement myself, but have been running into a wall in trying to determine which is the correct part to get.
Fender responded and gave me the part # as "0048705000", but I can't find anything listed that matches this. Nut takes a 3/16" wrench, but there seem to be several different nuts available with this spec.
Can anyone confirm exactly which truss rod nut I need to buy?
