Amp advice required :)

Hello fellow bass players.

I'm looking to expand my sound by buying a new amp. At the moment I'm playing through a Peavey Microbass, which I must say gives a rather nice tone at certain volumes. However, I'm going to need a larger amp in order to be heard with my band.

I don't have an awful lot of money to throw at a top-range amp, so I'm looking to spend no more than 350 pounds (could be slightly flexible if I decided to save more).

An amp that caught my eye in particular was the following:

This seemed like a good deal - and from reviews and what I've heard of it (poor quality youtube recordings) it actually doesn't sound too bad.

I'd love some suggestions - it doesn't need to be a combo, but they do seem cheaper.

Thanks ;)

I have a Fender Rumble 60 I just use at home now. When I used it in previous bands, it was always loud enough for the most part. Now that I have it at home, I realized I could get an awesome tone out of it haha. I'd stick with combo amps for now until you need something bigger and know the tone that you want. Just my opinion of course.

I have the exact amp you linked to. I don't even use the thing anymore due to my ridiculously loud band, but it was a really good amp for me. I really didn't have too much of a problem being heard when I first started using it with the band, but I really wanted something that would cut through and be loud enough for everyone to hear. I've been trying to sell it locally for what seems like forever now. Maybe I should just pony up the $20 and post it on the TB classifieds :D
