Amp and cab recommendations for my Thunderbird

I had an Epi T Bird, and ran it with a Mesa M6 and PH115 and PH212 cabs. I preferred the PH115, and I'd double up on them if I had it to do over. I'm sure there are plenty of other fine options out there. I'm not sure how close your T bird is to the Epi I had. I'm not sure how available that gear would be in your part of the world.

The M6 has a weighty, quick, punchy attack. It responded well to running dirt pedals. The mid voicing knob is pretty useful for getting a cutting mid range, or scooping the tone, if that's your thing.

The band I was in was more rock oriented, but I was the industrial head in the group. I wanted to move things in a Manson, Static-X, Wednesday13 direction. For what that's worth.

I will probably be looking for a used head and use the pawn shop linked few post earlier. That seems like a good place to start comparing sounds to get some kind of idea what I want. I would love to get an SVT2 Pro because it sounds the closest to my favorite sounds but we'll see... I've always wanted to have a Mesa but I never liked their guitar amps so maybe I'll try the M6 as well.

And for some of you who wanted to see the bass, here it is :)

From that list, I'd look at the GK700 or Peavey Firebass 700 for heads.

Oh BTW...
We have an old Peavey 115 BX cab where the speaker has farted out. I could buy a good 15 inch speaker and use it along with the 810. What speaker would you recommend? Is it even worth the effort?

810 is probably going to be 4ohm, so adding a 115, which will be 8ohms, would mean you'd need a 2.6ohm stable head. I don't think your choices will allow for that. Even if they did, the power distribution would be wildly uneven, and you'd be pushing the 115 really hard while the 810 would be idling. You'd probably blow the 115 by the time you even got the 810 to break a sweat. Tone wise, the fit is a gamble. I also doubt there's anything you're doing with an 810 that would benefit by the addition of a 115. It's just not going to make a noticeable difference.

As monsterthompson noted, using the 1x15 at the same time as the 8x10 is prolly not the savviest notion. Even with a new driver, you'll likely push that Peavey back to fart out territory as it tries to keep up with the 8x10 and its comparatively massive surface area. If the Peavey has a Black Widow, you can replace either the magnet or basket as needed to get it back up to spec. If the Peavey doesn't have a Black Widow, that might be the driver to throw in there.
