Amp EQ settings when using Sansamp Tech 21

Hi all, I just got a Sansamp Tech 21 and was wondering if you use it with your amps EQ at what you originally had it or at the halfway mark and use the Tech 21 as the main EQ while playing. I'm wondering if it's just used to bring everything out more from what your usual settings are. Any advice would be great. Thanks

Edit: I have the following model

For Sansamp BDDI:

I've tried multiple times and have never liked it as standalone but plenty of people on TB use it that way.

EQ settings on amp- in general, increase midrange unless you are cutting the Bass/Treble on the Sansamp.

I set my eq flat on my amp (Shuttle 6.0) and use my VT bass delux as the eq most of the time. On my active bass that has semi-parametric sweeps, I set that flat as well. P bass is usually full treble, but I like lots of treble. Sometimes I simply by-pass the pre-amp all together which is sort of the same thing.......it sort of depends on my mood.

I think its a good place to start, if you can get the tone you like from there its easier. But you don't have to of course.

I was actually thinking of doing this just to see what I can get out of it thanks.
